DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

CRESA Brings Customisation Into the Control Centre

UPDATEPUBLISHED

CRESA begins bringing presentation customisation directly into the Control Centre, introducing native asset workflows instead of relying on configuration scattered outside the Suite.

Customisation Moves Closer to the Suite

As the Control Centre continued expanding, another part of CRESA's workflow began moving into the same interface: presentation customisation.

Until this point, Control Centre development had focused heavily on monitoring, diagnostics, simulation and direct feature control. The next step was to start giving the operator control over how parts of the broadcast actually look and behave without having to leave the Suite to manage everything elsewhere.

A Native Customise Workflow

A dedicated Customise workflow began taking shape inside the Control Centre, including support for working with presentation assets through CRESA's own interface.

This started establishing a clearer relationship between the features being controlled and the assets belonging to them. Rather than treating customisation as something completely separate from broadcast operation, CRESA could begin presenting those options alongside the systems they affect.

Keeping Changes Under Control

Bringing asset management into the Suite also meant the workflow needed to behave predictably. Validation and action feedback became important parts of the design so that changes could be handled deliberately and unavailable or invalid operations could be communicated instead of disappearing silently.

The goal was not simply to add another settings screen. It was to make customisation feel like a native part of operating CRESA.

One Interface, More Responsibility

This marked another expansion of what the Control Centre was expected to do. It was already becoming the place for health, diagnostics, simulation and feature actions, and now presentation customisation was beginning to join that same environment.

CRESA was gradually reducing the number of places an operator needed to visit during setup and production, bringing more of the Suite under one consistent interface.
