DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Media & Music Integration Takes Its First Steps

FEATUREPUBLISHED

Development begins on CRESA's media and music architecture, introducing early Spotify integration, shared music services, browser presentation support and audio-route detection.

Another major part of CRESA begins taking shape: media and music integration. Early Spotify support is introduced alongside a shared music service and request queue, beginning the work required for CRESA to understand and coordinate media playback rather than treating music as an entirely separate part of the stream.

Browser-side music support is also added, creating an early bridge between media state and CRESA's OBS presentation layer. Work expands beyond metadata too. Initial audio-route detection is introduced so CRESA can begin understanding how media audio is travelling through the broadcast environment and report that state back to the wider system.

A master runtime launcher also starts bringing CRESA's growing collection of services together, reducing the need to treat each subsystem as an isolated component. These are still early foundations, but they establish an idea that will become increasingly important as CRESA develops: media playback, broadcast audio and on-screen presentation should operate as one coordinated experience.

This work lays the groundwork for the much more advanced managed media capture, playback coordination and audio visualisation systems that will follow later in development.
