DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Follow Alerts Become a Bespoke CRESA Experience
Follow alerts begin evolving beyond generic notifications with a dedicated fullscreen presentation, viewer identity support, profile imagery and sound.
With the shared alert architecture now established, development begins moving toward bespoke experiences for individual Twitch events. Follow alerts become one of the first major examples. A dedicated fullscreen Follow stage is introduced, allowing a new follower to receive a much more deliberate presentation than a conventional notification appearing briefly on screen.
Viewer identity becomes a larger part of the experience too. CRESA begins resolving follower information for simulated and live events, with support for displaying the viewer's Twitch profile image as part of the presentation. Sound is introduced alongside the visual experience, allowing the Follow presentation to coordinate its animation with dedicated alert audio.
Additional work is also carried out around event debouncing, helping protect the experience from repeated or duplicate activity entering the presentation system too quickly. This represents the beginning of an approach that will become increasingly important to CRESA: different events deserve different presentation experiences.
Rather than forcing every interaction through the same generic alert template, CRESA can give important moments their own identity while still using the shared event and lifecycle architecture underneath. Follow is one of the first places that philosophy becomes visible.
